Past Fund Raisers
A group of concerned citizens in Johnston County, led by Terry Carroll of Smithfield and Jaynean Scott of Clayton, planned and held 2 Magic Shows to benefit Marshall and raise awareness about the issues facing transplant families. Award winning illuionist, (Wayne Eric Braun) from Chicago performed at the event. The shows were held at The Clayton Center in Clayton, NC on Saturday, September 9th at 2:00 & 7:00 pm. Several hundred children and adults attended and a significant amount of money was raised. Click here to go to a page with pictures at the magic shows.
In addition to raising funds to help Marshall's transplant fund, the organizers and volunteers worked to raise awareness about the many issues facing transplant families. Organ donation cards were available at the event so that any person could sign up to be an organ donor. Information was also available about transplant organizations, websites, and literature on how to help other families with their struggle.
St. Timothy's School held a 5K Race & 1 Mile Fun Run on April 1st to benefit Marshall's Transplant Fund. It was a huge success. Go to our NEWS PAGE for more information and pictures.
The management and staff of the Raleigh IcePlex, where Marshall skates, had a fundraiser event on Saturday Night, Dec 3rd. All admission proceeds that night were donated to Marshall's transplant fund at NTAF. A silent auction was also held at the IcePlex that evening to benefit Marshall's fund.
The NCSU Hockey Club also had a fundraiser on December 3rd for Marshall called "Score One For Marshall".
The Riverside Coffee Company in Smithfield hosted a fund raiser on Thursday, Dec 15th. All cash receipts that evening were donated to NTAF in Marshall's name.
One member of the fundraising committee sent out a challenge email to friends, family members, and co-workers encouraging them to "Give Marshall a High Five" toward his transplant fund campaign.
Chris London, publisher of SOCIAL THE MAGAZINE placed an ad in his publication and on his web site encouraging his readers and visitors to the site to give to Marshall's campaign.
